The Maison des Jeunes ert de la Culture held its annual general meeting at the headquarters of the Labatut home. The room was full, with around fifty members, which made the president, Jean-Philippe Astruc, say: “There have never been so many of us and we will have to think about changing rooms“.
In his moral report, Jean-Philippe estimated, “ that with two new sections, The Sun of Tauch and the Philosophical Workshop, the MJC-Tuchan had reached a new level”. The association now has 11 very diverse sections and more than 200 members. The old sections are functioning normally: the theater has been relaunched with a new team, academic support will be continued in a new form. A new workshop has been created, Anaïs’ seated yoga. Le soleil du Tauch, with more than 80 members, is a strong element of the association. He brings the headquarters premises to life every Friday afternoon with his computer workshop and his language workshop, English and Spanish. Finally, we must remember the date of April 12, 2025. On that day, the departmental general assembly of the Aude Federation of Youth Centers will be held in the multipurpose room and all the MJCs of the department will be present.
The MJC-Tuchan continues to energize and enliven the village with its very diversified activities, its numerous and motivated volunteers as well as its close collaboration with other associations: Friends of Faste, Friends of Aguilar, rugby and the festival committee.
