CONADE 2026 National Olympiad: Veracruz to Host Cycling, Badminton, Judo, and Chess
Veracruz, Mexico – The Veracruzano Sports Institute has announced that the CONADE 2026 National Olympiad state stage will take place in Veracruz from January 22 to February 1. The multi-sports event will feature athletes competing in cycling, badminton, judo, and chess.
Cycling Kicks Off with Time Trial and Road Race
The cycling events will commence in Xalapa, which returns as the headquarters after being held in Tuxpan last year. Competitors will start with the time trial modality on January 22 and 23 on the Coatepec Bypass, followed by the road test on the 25th on the same course.

The mountain modality will take place on January 24 at the La Calera track in the Banderilla area. Meanwhile, the track competition will be held from January 22 to February 1 at the Xalapa International Velodrome, where both the State Selective and the 2026 National Track Championship will be held.
Badminton Eliminatory Rounds in Ciudad Deportiva Leyes de Reforma
Badminton will complete its eliminatory rounds from January 23 to 25 at the Racquet Center of the Ciudad Deportiva Leyes de Reforma. Athletes will compete to advance to the next phase of the competition.
Judo and Chess: Battle for a Spot in Regional Stage
On January 30 and 31, as well as February 1, judo and chess athletes will compete in Xalapa for a chance to progress to the regional stage of the CONADE 2026 National Olympiad. Judo matches will be held at the Gymnasium of the Universidad Veracruzana, while chess games will take place at the official hotel.

Early Schedule Due to Soccer World Cup Adjustment
The early holding of the multi-sports event is due to the adjustment of the national calendar as a result of the Soccer World Cup, which led to advancing the selection processes in the different entities of the country.
