During the Christmas holidays, the Fors site welcomes children from the area belonging to the leisure center of the Plaine de Courance union of communes (SCPC). This choice is explained by the central position of the city, which facilitates access for families.
The first week, calmer, has between 15 and 20 children per day, supervised by three facilitators. The second week, more dynamic, brings 35 to 40 children under the supervision of four facilitators. Ophélie Moreau coordinated the first week before handing over to Sandrine Diard.
A valuable offer for parents during the holidays
With the theme “Journey to Lapland”, the children took part in various creative activities, such as creating a collective mural and making greeting cards. The program also includes outings and specific activities: ice rink and yoga in the first week, followed by an introduction to oriental dance for the second.
These activities, tailored to the children’s desires and needs, provide a balance between guided or free workshops. Board games and outdoor activities, organized when the weather permits, enhance this diverse program.
Opening the center during the Christmas holidays, which has become a tradition, responds to strong demand from families. Although transportation service is not provided at this stage, parents are making arrangements to take advantage of this valuable offer. The next entertainment will be held in Beauvoir during the February holidays, in accordance with the rotation of reception sites in the region.
