In line with what Valencia is going through after the recent storms and the tragedy that has left many behind, the team of The AS Young Tour by IBP Tennis has decided to suspend the As Young Tour Master of Seville, sub-16 and sub-18 groups until further notice. The new date will be confirmed in the coming weeks, prioritizing the lives of all players, coaches and family members involved.
The disaster caused by the powerful DANA has affected several communities, and some of our young tennis players, their families and clubs have been affected by this natural disaster. At this time, our community stands in solidarity with all of them and sends a message of strength and support, recognizing that sports are also united in difficult times.
Furthermore, due to the postponement and inability to issue the IBP Tennis Master Wild Cards that will be awarded to the winners of the Master As Young Tour of Seville, it has been decided that The IBP Tennis Master will feature 10 winners of the IBP Tennis Championship instead of the original 8 qualifiers plus 2 Wild Cards.. This change will allow the top ranked players on the list to have a chance to compete in the IBP Tennis Master.
From the AS Young Tour and IBP Tennis we want to show our sincere support to all those affected by this crisis in Valencia and other affected areas. Our commitment is not only to improve the sport, but also to be a family that supports each other in times of trouble. We want every player, coach and family to feel that they are together and know that we are here to support them.
Strength and encouragement to all involved in Valenciaespecially to our friends from the teams and families who are part of the big family of youth tennis in Spain.
