The ‘Ninth Walton Cup Golf Tournament-2024’ under the auspices of Walton Hi-Tech Industries Plc and organized by Savar Golf Club has started from Thursday (December 26). About 400 golfers from different parts of the country have participated in this event in 6 categories. The three-day competition will continue till December 28 at the Savar Golf Course.
Although it started today, the official opening will be on the morning of December 28. And in the afternoon there will be closing ceremony and prize distribution.
This year’s competition is being held in six categories. The categories are Men’s 18 Holes, Men’s 9 Holes, Seniors (60 to 69 years), Veteran (70 and over), Ladies and Juniors (15 years and under).
This time a total of 18 awards will be given in 6 categories. Among them six in 18 holes, four in 9 holes, two for seniors, two for veterans, two for ladies and two for juniors. Apart from this, two more common prizes will be awarded. Its a ‘Nearest to Pin’ and ‘Longest Drive’.
