Spain Makes its Mark in Mixed Teams Competition

Jaume Munar (33rd in the world) will lead the Spanish charge against Sebastián Báez (45th), with Jessica Bouzas (41st) taking on Solana Sierra (66th) in the women’s singles. The mixed doubles match will see Paula Badosa (health permitting) and Roberto Bautista Agut (both outside the top 50) facingegan two top-50 ranked opponents.
“This is exciting. I’m always glad to be in Australia,” said Munar. “We play individually throughout the year, so it’s a great feeling to play a team event to start the year. I feel honored to represent Spain and look forward to a fantastic week.”
