The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has announced the squad for the upcoming Pakistan series with Shakib Al Hasan. After the fall of the Sheikh Hasina government, Shakib’s return to the country and his presence in the team were discussed, and the team for the two-match Test series was announced.
BCB announced the team in a statement on Sunday (August 11) evening. Right-arm pacer Taskin Ahmed has returned to the elite version of cricket after a break. He decided to take a break from Tests during the last BPL. But Taskin will only be considered for the second Test.
Apart from this, Mushfiqur Rahim has returned to this team of 16 members. Mr. Dependable was absent from the last series due to injury. Young batsman Shahadat Hossain Dipu is out. The selectors have increased the pacers in the squad by reducing the batsmen. 5 pacers have been kept in the team.
The situation in the country is gradually returning to normal. However, there is a security risk due to the absence of police. Nazmul Hossain Shantara could not practice in all aspects in the country. Individually, the cricketers have brushed themselves off.
Therefore BCB is sending the national team to Pakistan in advance. Nazmul Hasan Shantara will leave Dhaka for Pakistan 5 days before the pre-scheduled time. They will catch Pakistan’s aircraft in some parts from tomorrow afternoon. Earlier it was scheduled to go on August 17.
The two-match Test series will begin on August 21. The match will be in Rawalpindi. The second match will be in Karachi. It will start from August 30.
