Tandil Golf Club Kicks Off Transformation to Become Top National and International Golf Destination



Tandil Golf Club has embarked on a transformative journey, aiming to solidify its position as a national and international golf destination. The renovation of the course began on May 5, with renowned architect Frankie Bunge at the helm, accompanied by an elite team including legendary golfer Vicente “Chino” Fernández, international referee Ariel Rodríguez, and El Valle’s head pro, Ignacio Verellén.

The Redevelopment Plan

The 24-month project kicked off with works on holes 10 to 18, while holes 1 to 9 remain playable during the process. The ambitious plan encompasses:

  • Strategic route: A more fluid, walkable course designed to challenge players of all levels.
  • State-of-the-art greens: Latest-generation greens built under USGA standards, featuring Agrostis 007.
  • New bunkers and practice areas: Enhanced driving, chipping, and putting practice areas.
  • Land recovery: Repurposing land for a Vivero Golf nursery.
  • Landscape interventions: Beautifying the environment and reducing maintenance costs.
  • Sustainable practices: Incorporating sustainable and environmentally respectful measures.
