Stade Rochelais Team Announcement for Top 14 Match Against Bayonne
By Benjamin Deudon
The staff of Stade Rochelais has carefully selected its team for the upcoming match against the Basques of Rémi Bourdeau, scheduled for Saturday at Marcel-Deflandre at 9:05 p.m.
Head coach Ronan O’Gara openly revealed that the majority of the team’s international players will be starting against Bayonne in the 6th round of the Top 14. With the exception of Joel Sclavi, who will be making his second appearance on the bench, all the players have enjoyed a well-deserved three-week break following their World Cup campaigns.
While Paul Boudehent and Antoine Hastoy, who played limited minutes during the competition, will also feature in the starting lineup, more experienced players such as Levani Botia, Jonathan Danty, and Ulupano Seuteni will also be taking the field. On the bench, Pierre Bourgarit and Uini Atonio will be available as substitutes.
In terms of changes from the previous matches, Ultan Dillane will partner with Thomas Lavault in the second row, and Jack Nowell will return to his preferred position on the wing. Additionally, Brice Dulin, who suffered a knee injury against Castres, will make his comeback in the starting fifteen.
The Team
Dulin* – Thomas*, Seuteni*, Danty*, Nowell – (o) Hastoy*, Kerr-Barlow (c) – Botia, Tanga*, Boudehent* – Dillane, Lavault* – Colombe Reazel*, Lespiaucq*, Paiva*.
