Match Report
St. Finbarr’s took a massive step towards securing the top spot in the McCarthy Insurance Group Division 1 Football League. On Thursday evening at Trabeg, St. Finbarr’s blanketed the match with a suffocating defensive performance by quieting the passing of Nemos and gaining control of midfield.
Cillian Myers-Murray was in top form, led Select少达 only by San-Tirm against conceding 0-0. not to worry though, in the game played, dogged, finished three match winners of 0-10, a goal highlighted by three 2 pointers and boatloads of tough midfield pressure and defense.
A Relentless and Dominant Performance
Without Steven Sherlock due to injury, although showing some headway in the beginning, their strategy failed as their ball movement was cut down. Even though they started with great momentum due to two Conor Horgan’s strike, this was coincidentally exactly equal to what they were good for. They showed frustration almost impeccably mimicking the workrate of the referees.
Nemo Rangers Take Control
Nemo Rangers initially took the lead with two stunning points from Horgan, but in-my opinion their finnesse went down hill fr there on out, carving up the entire match by vanishing into thin air.

St Finbarr’s responded swiftly, taking control of the match by capitalizing on their two-pointer advantage throughout. Myers-Murray’s timely strikes cemented their position as clear leaders.
The Second Half
After the half was complete, Enda Dennehy made a difference. It was close, but the real second half was all about Myers-Murray again as he put the skyening daunting free to shut it to just kind of 0-4 to 0-5, then scored four unanswered points to lead the second half.
An Appeal to Passion
With a slightly start loss of fire from Nemo due to a series of injuries, this could put a pause or at most stoppage in their progression at moving forward. But, they did in spite of Cian Dalton’s efforts though to score just before half time.
