Jordan Spieth’s Quest for the ‘Big Slam’

At just 27 years old, Jordan Spieth has already achieved an impressive golf resume. With victories at the Masters and the U.S. Open in 2015, and The Open in 2017, he is just one major victory away from achieving the ‘Big Slam’ – winning all four major championships in a career, a feat accomplished by only seven other golfers, including Rory McIlroy.

The only major that has eluded Spieth is the PGA Championship, a tournament he has struggled with in the past. However, with his youth and experience on his side, Spieth has a good chance of completing the ‘Big Slam’ in the near future.

Phil Mickelson’s Last Chance?

For Phil Mickelson, the clock is ticking. At 54 years old, Mickelson has won three of the four majors, with the U.S. Open being the only one that has eluded him. Since his triumph at The Open in 2013, Mickelson has tried ten times to win the U.S. Open, with his best result being a 28th place finish in 2014.

With his five-year exemption for his 2021 PGA Championship win set to expire, Mickelson’s chance of winning the U.S. Open and completing the ‘Big Slam’ may be running out. His upcoming attempt at the 2025 U.S. Open at Oakmont could be his last.
