Texas Christian University (TCU) star Sedona Prince was left on the board during the 2025 WNBA draft, a surprising turn of events for the 6-foot-7 center who was projected to be selected as early as the late first round.

Prince, who finished her seventh and final collegiate season this year, was not invited to attend the live event in person. Despite going undrafted, there is still a chance she could be invited to a team tryout or take her talents overseas.

Allegations of Abuse and Assault Cloud Prince’s Career

The draft took place two months after the Washington Post published a bombshell report detailing abuse allegations against Prince. Since 2019, several women have accused the athlete of assault, including:

• 2019: Alyssa Jimmie claimed Prince sexually assaulted her after a date.
• 2022: A Jane Doe alleged that Prince forcibly kissed her and forced her to penetrate her after a date.
• 2024: TikTok user Olivia Stabile posted a multi-part series accusing Prince of emotional and physical abuse.
• 2025: Prince’s former partner filed a domestic abuse report against her in January.

Prince has vehemently denied all the accusations and maintains she has never abused anyone. Her lawyer, A. Boone Almanza, said in a statement to ESPN, “Sedona has not been charged with a crime or found guilty of any wrongdoing.”

Backlash and Petition Lead to Calls for TCU to Cut Prince

The numerous allegations led to backlash online, with more than 200,000 people signing a petition for TCU to cut Prince from its Horned Frogs team.

Looking Ahead: Prince’s Future in the WNBA

Despite the setback, Prince’s future in the WNBA is not entirely bleak. Undrafted players have previously made it onto WNBA rosters through training camp invitations or overseas play.

“Sedona is an incredibly talented athlete, and we believe her career is far from over,” said a WNBA insider who wished to remain anonymous.
