Supporting Youth Basketball in the Community

Seahorses Mikawa are continuing their commitment to social responsibility with a recent donation of basketball equipment to elementary schools in the Nishi Mikawa area. The initiative, part of the team’s “Be With” SDGs project, aims to encourage greater participation in basketball among local children.

Donation Details

• Items Donated: 5 basketballs (size 5) and 20 bibs per school.
• Recipient Schools: A total of 26 elementary schools, including Nishio Elementary School, Hananoki Elementary School and Sakushima Shiosai School.
• Donation Ceremony: A ceremony was held at the Seahorses Mikawa game against Toyama on Saturday, March 7, 2026.

“Be With” Sustainability Project

The “Be With” project, launched during the 2022-23 season, reflects Seahorses Mikawa’s dedication to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The team is actively pursuing various initiatives to contribute to these global objectives.

“Seahorse Mikawa has started an SDGs project named ‘Be With’ from the 2022-23 season. In addition to our existing social contribution activities, we will promote a variety of initiatives to contribute to the achievement of the SDGs (Sustainable Development Goals), which are common global goals.”
