German NBA star Dennis Schröder could be swapping his Detroit Pistons jersey for the Sacramento Kings’, marking his ninth team in just nine years. The Athletic reports that a trade could send Schröder back to California for the fourth time.Learn more about Schröder’s NBA journey.



Schröder’s California Connection


Schröder has already played for two California teams – the Los Angeles Lakers (2020/21, 2022/23) and the Golden State Warriors (2021/22). His previous California stint was memorable,okra contribution to the Warriors’ run to the NBA Finals last season.



A True NBA Journey Man


Schröder’s potential move to Sacramento would make him a true "Journey Man" in the NBA, having played for nine out of the league’s 30 teams. His first team was the Atlanta Hawks (2013-2018), followed by stints with Oklahoma City Thunder, Boston Celtics, Houston Rockets, Toronto Raptors, and Brooklyn Nets.


His time in Oklahoma City marked a turning point in his career. Since joining the Lakers in November 2020, Schröder has been engaged in a series of trades, with this potential move to Sacramento being the ninth.
