Success for the Turkish driver, fresh winner of the world title, in the last seasonal event of the championship. Second place for the driver from Emilia, winner of the Superpole Race. Van der Mark’s other BMW took third ahead of Iannone

October 20 – 5.06pm – MILANO

He had already won the world champion title with the second place obtained on Saturday behind Nicolò Bulega (Aruba.it Racing – Ducati), but Toprak Razgatlioglu (ROKiT BMW Motorrad WorldSBK Team) was not satisfied and, on the contrary , achieved success in Race-2 of the Prometeon Spanish Round on Sunday afternoon at the Jerez circuit. In fact, throughout the weekend, the two contenders for the final victory were also the absolute protagonists of the last round of the season, with the Turk putting everyone behind him in the final event of the championship, preventing the young Emilian from signing the hat-trick. The competition, however, ended four laps early due to the failure of Oettl’s Yamaha, resulting in the red flag being shown. Michael van der Mark’s other BMW M 1000 RR was also on the podium, while Alvaro Bautista (Aruba.it Racing – Ducati) was forced to retire following a fall.
