Dakota Joshua and Max Domi scored for the Maple Leafs, but it wasn’t enough to overcome the Sabres. Toronto goaltender Joseph Woll made 31 saves in the loss. The Maple Leafs have now lost nine of their past ten games.

The Sabres are now 9-1-0 in their past 10 games and haven’t lost consecutive games in regulation since December 3-8.

“I think halfway through the second we started playing better. Just really encouraging,” Lyon said. “Obviously, we’ve been on a quality run. You lose one in regulation, and those are the games when doubt can creep in. You just have to grind through it. We’re going to get tested so much more throughout the rest of the season. So you just have to stay in the moment. There’s going to be a lot of adversity.”
