🎾Saale Bulls chase the felt ball: Tennis session at HTC Peißnitz eV🎾
In a sporting change of disciplines, our Saale Bulls swapped their ice hockey sticks for tennis rackets on Wednesday. Our 20-strong squad swept across the clay courts of the Hallescher Tennisclub (HTC) Peißnitz eV – with 385 members the largest tennis club in Halle. Our ice skaters completed their third training session of the day. Despite off-ice training and ice time: The Bulls showed no sign of fatigue during the team building on the Peißnitz.
The training organized by HTC by the men’s 30 players, who have just achieved promotion to the Bundesliga, as well as the two local tennis schools Voloshin and Vasileva, was a welcome change for our men. While the felt balls were flying, some ice hockey professionals had a “padel battle” and chased the ball on the first padel court in Saxony-Anhalt. Sports director Kai Schmitz and coach Marko Raita also grabbed their rackets and actively participated in the training.
Our Saale Bulls and the HTC men’s 30 Bundesliga players, led by Eric Voloshin, as well as numerous HTC club members, enjoyed the end of the long training day with a barbecue. The Saale Bulls would like to thank HTC Peißnitz eV for their hospitality and the great organization of this successful day! It was great that we got to know each other. We’ll see you at the revival in the Sparkasse ice tent. Then it’s time for the HTC players: puck instead of tennis ball!
