A Russian tourist visiting Koh Samui, Thailand, died after being swept away by a large wave on Friday while doing yoga on a rock at a popular viewing point.

Local media outlets identified the woman as 24-year-old Kamilla Beliatskaya.

Police are reviewing CCTV footage showing Beliatskaya arriving at the Laad Koh viewpoint car park in a red car shortly before 1pm.

She then grabbed a pink yoga mat from the trunk of the car before walking alone to the rocky area under the viewing platform.
