Dominated by Carlos Alcaraz at the Turin Masters, Andrey Rublev lost his composure when conceding a break in the second set. The world number 5 ended up with a bloody knee, all thanks to his racket.
Andrey Rublev’s left knee will not forget this incident. Facing Carlos Alcaraz on the second day of the red group at the Turin Masters, the Russian succumbed to the Spaniard in the first set (lost 5-7) and then suffered a break in the opening game of the second set. Frustrated by his faulty forehand, the world number 5 completely lost his temper. In a fit of anger, he struck his racket against his left knee six times, resulting in a bleeding wound.
After the change of ends, Rublev managed to calm down. Although his racket was damaged, he replaced it and continued playing. This week in Italy has been challenging for the Russian, who was already unhappy with his performance against compatriot Daniil Medvedev on Monday.

Poor Rublev! It’s unfortunate to see a talented player like him get injured in such a bizarre way. Wishing him a speedy recovery and hoping to see him back on the court soon!
