Rain Delay Sixty Minutes; Matches Resume at 2:15 p.m. CEST

Wednesday’s play at the ATP Masters 1000 event in Rome restarted at 2:15 p.m. CEST following a one-hour rain delay that halted play around 1:15 p.m. Six first-round matches resumed after the interruption.

Francisco Comesana Bests Daniel Altmaier Before Rain

Prior to the rain delay, Francisco Comesana defeated Daniel Altmaier in straight sets, 6-1, 7-5. Comesana will next face No. 10-ranked Holger Rune in the second round.
