Rengo will receive important “Manuel Ramírez Sanhueza” basket making tournament

This weekend, December 21 and 22, one of the most emblematic local basketball championships will take place in Rengo. This is the “Manuel Ramírez Sanhueza” contest in its third version, where teams in the U18 category will participate.

Its main objective is to be able to rescue and honor the sporting spirit of an outstanding man, who has cooperated for the development of sports in young people, adapted sports and clubs with people with different abilities.

Teams such as Español from Talca, O’Higgins Rancagua, Tomás Lawrence from San Fernando, Escuela Deportiva de Constitución, Club México from Osorno and the organizing club, Club Carlos Condell from Rengo will participate in this contest.

On Saturday the 21st, from 8:30 a.m., it will begin at the Luis Pavez Sports Center, a place that will host 10 matches throughout the day, with a first round-robin phase being played, with the first match being between Tomas Lawrence against Carlos Condell.

On Sunday the 22nd, also from 8:30 a.m., the championship will move to the Enrique Silva Municipal Gymnasium, continuing with the remaining matches of the first phase, to later play the finals starting at 4:30 p.m. The grand final is set for 8:30 p.m.

The organization, led by the representatives and directors of the Carlos Condell club, is very grateful for the support of the municipality, the National Sports Institute, the efforts of the local authorities and the help of businessmen in the area, since this support was fundamental to hold this event. An incentive for the activity to last and continue to grow, dreaming of tomorrow being an activity that benefits more young people from different places, being able to invite teams from abroad for future editions, they highlighted.
