Max Verstappen and Sergio ‘Checo’ Pérez to Channel Elvis Presley at Las Vegas Grand Prix
The King is in the building. Red Bull has arrived in Las Vegas with a mission to conquer, and what better way to do it than by paying homage to the legendary Elvis Presley. Max Verstappen and Sergio ‘Checo’ Pérez will be donning special outfits inspired by the iconic singer’s dazzling wardrobe, which played a significant role in shaping the city.
A Tribute to the King
In a video shared on social media, Max Verstappen and Sergio ‘Checo’ Pérez unveiled the attire they will be sporting at the Las Vegas Grand Prix. Verstappen, the three-time Formula One champion, will be dressed in a white nomex suit adorned with gold trim and a belt-like stripe reminiscent of Elvis Presley’s most famous ensemble.
Meanwhile, Pérez will be racing in the RB19 wearing a red suit, reminiscent of Presley’s gala attire, featuring the same gold accents and white ‘diamonds’ that made the singer’s outfits so iconic.
A Nod to History
Elvis Presley was the first major artist to establish a musical residency in Las Vegas, and his flamboyant suits became his trademark. Therefore, it is only fitting to pay tribute to him as Formula One returns to the city after a 41-year hiatus.
The Las Vegas Grand Prix promises to be a spectacle that combines the excitement of Formula One racing with the glamour and nostalgia of Elvis Presley’s era. Max Verstappen and Sergio ‘Checo’ Pérez will not only be competing for victory but also embodying the spirit of the King himself.
