A government delegation led by the Minister of State in charge of the civil service, Bassolma Bazié, met on Saturday, August 31, 2024 in Koudougou with the constituted bodies of the Boulkiemdé province.

Minister Delegate in charge of regional cooperation exchanged with the constituted bodies of the province of Boulkiemdé. According to the head of the delegation,
Bassolma Bazié, it was on the instructions of the President of Faso, Captain Ibrahim Traoré that the mission undertook this series of meetings with the
populations.
This, he specified, in order to report to the base and to collect concerns and proposals for achieving the objectives of the current Transition. At the start of the discussions, the delegation once again paid tribute to the victims of the recent attacks in the commune of Barsalogho. “May all those who fell on the battlefield at all levels in the context of the defense of our country, rest in peace on the land of our ancestors,” said the Minister of State who wished a better recovery to the wounded. Subsequently, he invited the populations of Boulkiemdé to remain mobilized behind the Defense and Security Forces (FDS) and the Volunteers for the Defense of the Homeland (VDP) who are doing a tremendous job on the ground with a view to reconquering the territory. For him, it is time for citizens to understand that the fight against the terrorist hydra is not the sole business of the FDS.
“We invite the populations at all levels to organize themselves in the villages, in the cities so as to be security elements, informants, elements who engage and who put the means at the disposal of the FDS, the VDP so that we can overcome terrorism,” insisted Mr. Bazié. In short, in a period of crisis, everyone must be a VDP, that is to say, a security agent.
“Containing the threat”
The operations to recapture the territory are underway, but they require the involvement of all for their success and to guarantee the final victory against the forces of evil, according to the native of Koukouldi in Sanguié. After welcoming the government delegation, the President of the special delegation (PDS) of the commune of Koudougou, Jonas Mané recalled that in the life of a family, when mortal adversity is imposed, it becomes vital for the members to silence all differences, to unite their strength in a thoughtful and concerted action against the enemy in order to stem the threat. “This is how it is in the life of Nations,” he said. At a time when our country has once again been hit by the enemy, continued the PDS of Koudougou, through the attack on Barsalogho, it is more necessary than ever to strengthen our ties, to organize ourselves to face the enemy with the desire to invade. The populations of the Boulkiemdé province welcomed the initiative of this exchange meeting which made it possible to share information on the life of the Nation and governance. The members of the government thanked the governor of the Center-West, Boubakar Nouhoun Traoré, and the high commissioner of Boulkiemdé, Salimata Ouédraogo for having created the necessary conditions for the holding of the meeting, the report of which will be made to the head of state through a mission report, before welcoming the frankness which marked the exchanges. The missionaries also paid courtesy visits to traditional leaders and encouragement to the FDS.
