QJ Motor Srt 550 SX: price and technical sheet of the adventure

The Chinese brand expands its crossover range with a bike designed for those who want a gradual approach to the world of adventure. The price is super affordable: 5,290 euros

Not a new displacement for QJ Motor, the Chinese brand that now presents the Srt 550 SX to the Italian market. The range already includes the naked Srk 550 and Srv 550, as well as the sporty Srk 550 RS. Now it’s the turn of the crossover, offered at a super competitive price for the Italian market: just 5,290 euros. In the next paragraphs we’ll find out how it is made from both a chassis and engine point of view.

QJ Motor Srt 550 SX: the engine

Equipped with a 554 cc inline twin-cylinder engine, the Srt 550 SX is capable of tackling both paved roads and simple off-road routes. The modern liquid-cooled engine is capable of developing a maximum power of 56 hp at 8,250 rpm with a peak torque of 54 Nm at 5,500 rpm. It’s a shame that for a handful of hp it is not in line with the law according to which you can ride motorcycles with a maximum power of 48 hp starting from the age of 18 with an A2 license. The new Srt 550 SX comes standard with the latest generation traction control that allows for “worry-free” riding in any situation, from wet asphalt to the most slippery dirt road.

The chassis is designed to tackle different terrains: the steel trellis frame works in synergy with a Marzocchi fork, adjustable in preload and rebound, 41 mm in diameter and offering 140 mm of travel. The monoshock, also adjustable in preload and rebound, does its job by working together with the aluminum swingarm. The braking system with ABS promises a safe response and uses two 320 mm discs at the front, these combined with two dual-channel radial calipers, while at the rear the system acts on a single 260 mm disc.

The Srt 550 SX, which expands the QJ Motor adventure range – already consisting of the Srt 800 SX, Srt 700/X, i.e. the twin of the Benelli Trk 702, and Svt 650 X – offers a series of additional features useful for traveling, such as the large 20.5-liter tank, while the Tft display with BT Mirroring allows you to view the navigation system integrated into the smartphone to help the rider easily find the way to the next adventure. The full LED lighting system is also a distinctive element, both for design and for high-level visibility. The standard equipment of the bike includes an aluminum engine guard, side protections and frames for mounting a dedicated set of bags (two side and top case). The three cases are made of aluminum alloy, have stainless steel opening/closing hinges and the interiors are lined with a technical fabric that absorbs shocks to protect the objects contained. The set, already available for immediate delivery from the QJ network, is offered as an optional at the price of 990 euros (VAT included).
