Addressing Construction Period Challenges

Pratteln municipality is facing significant school construction projects, including renovations and new buildings. During these periods, essential gyms used by both schools and clubs will be unavailable for several years.

The municipality plans to build a modern multifunctional hall in the sand pits to close this gap.

Versatile and Sustainable Design

• The new hall will offer space for school sports and various clubs like the Schwingklub Pratteln, judo, and dance training.
• It combines concrete and wood, using sustainable building technology with a heat pump and photovoltaic system.
• The municipality will explore reusing load-bearing elements from existing buildings.

Financing and Maintenance Secured

The project costs 1.6 million Swiss francs, with financial contributions guaranteed by local clubs and the canton. The municipality will maintain the hall using existing sports facilities and swimming pool employees.
