Pradosh fast has special significance in Sanatan Dharma. Pradosh fast is observed ritually on the Trayodashi date of Krishna and Shukla Paksha of every month. There is a religious belief that by worshiping and donating in the evening on the day of Pradosh Vrat, one gets the desired groom and there are chances of early marriage. Also one gets relief from all the problems of life.

On this day, there is a tradition to worship Lord Shiva and Mother Parvati in the evening. There is a religious belief that worship brings happiness in the life of a person. Pradosh Vrat Shubh Muhurat
According to the Panchang, the Trayodashi tithi of Shukla Paksha of Ashwin month will start from 03:42 am on October 15 and will end on the next day i.e. October 16 at 12:19 am. Lord Shiva is worshiped during Pradosh period on Trayodashi date. Thus Pradosh Vrat will be celebrated on 15th October. The auspicious time to perform puja on this day is as follows-
Evening time is from 05:38 pm to 08:13 pm. During this time, devotees can worship Lord Shiva.

- People of Aries zodiac sign should donate fruits on the day of Pradosh fast.
- People of Taurus zodiac sign should donate milk, curd and rasgulla on the day of Pradosh fast.
- People of Gemini zodiac sign should donate green vegetables including broccoli, spinach to the cowshed on the day of Pradosh fast.
- People with Cancer zodiac sign should donate butter, sugar candy and ghee on the day of Pradosh fast.
- People of Leo zodiac sign should donate things like carrots, sweet potatoes, pomegranate etc. after worshiping on the day of Pradosh Vrat.
- People of Virgo zodiac should donate green bangles to married women on the day of Pradosh fast.
- People of Libra zodiac should donate things like rice, flour, semolina, flour, sugar etc. on the day of Pradosh Vrat.
