The National Police put an end to the illicit activities of two individuals who were engaged in the trafficking and sale of cannabis between Burkina Faso and certain neighboring countries.
The two traffickers posed as passengers in public transport vehicles, thus providing transport between Burkina Faso and neighboring countries.
They paid for new travel bags in which they loaded the drugs and added some clothes. They used vehicles to go to Ouagadougou with their merchandise. Once there, they hid in other travel companies to go to the destination country where cannabis was sold on gold mining sites.
The police were able to apprehend the two traffickers in Pô during a security check and search operation, and seized two bags containing twenty-two balls of cannabis weighing sixteen 16 kg, the value of which is estimated at nearly 1,760,000 FCFA.
