Rio Grande, Puerto Rico – Former Oklahoma State standout Eugenio Chacarra will return to the PGA TOUR next week, having accepted a sponsor exemption into the Puerto Rico Open. This marks a significant step in his career trajectory after a period with LIV Golf and a successful run on the DP World Tour.

From Amateur Star to LIV Golf

Chacarra, 25, has seven career PGA TOUR starts, achieving a career-best tie for 45th at the 2021 Sanderson Farms Championship while still an amateur. In 2022, he was ranked No. 2 among amateur golfers globally when he made the decision to join LIV Golf for its inaugural season.

Transition to DP World Tour and Recent Successes

By 2024, Chacarra shifted his focus to the DP World Tour, strategically reassessing his long-term goals with a view toward a full-time return to the PGA TOUR. He found success on the DP World Tour, culminating in a victory at the 2023 St Andrews Bay Championship on the Asian Tour and, more recently, the 2025 Hero Indian Open.
