Vinnie Pasquantino Returns to Italy’s Baseball Squad for 2026 World Baseball Classic
ROMA, ITALY – The Italian Baseball and Softball Federation (FIBS) has announced that Vinnie Pasquantino, first baseman for the Kansas City Royals, will be part of the Manager Francisco Cervelli-led Azzurri squad for the 2026 World Baseball Classic (WBC).

In the group stage, Italy will face Brazil, Great Britain, and Mexico in Houston.

The 27-year-old Pasquantino, born in Rome and raised in Ohio, will bring his powerful bat to the Italian lineup. He spent his entire professional career with the Royals and recently hit .333 in May, contributing to their impressive form with 8 wins in their last 10 games.
