Tragedy Strikes PAOK Fans’ European Trip

On Tuesday, January 27, a group of seven Greek PAOK fans set off towards Lyon in a minibus, eager to support their team in the upcoming Europa League match. Their travels were abruptly ended in a collision with a truck near Timisoara, Romania.

Collision Claims Lives of 7 Fans

According to Greek media outlet Skai TV, the minibus crashed while attempting to overtake another vehicle. Reports suggest the truck involved was carrying fuel, although no explosion occurred. Despite this, none of the seven passengers or the driver survived, with six dying on the spot and one succumbing to injuries in the hospital.

“An unspeakable tragedy knocked on our doors today… These children, the children of PAOK, are our children, they are members of a large family.

Three survivors were hospitalized, but details about their condition remain unavailable.
