Dominant Performance in Oita Prefectural Qualifiers

Mingyo High School’s kendo team has qualified for the prestigious National High School Kendo Championships, following a successful run in the Oita Prefectural Qualifying Tournament held on January 21st. The team, entering the competition as the first seed, demonstrated exceptional skill and teamwork throughout the tournament.

Mingyo High School secured victories in all matches leading up to the final, defeating Usukura, Tokyu Ryu Valley, and Saeki Tsurusaki with a consistent 5-0 scoreline. The team ultimately triumphed over Oita Tsurusaki in the final match with a score of 2-0.

Looking Ahead to the National Championships

The 33rd National High School Kendo Championships will be held in Aichi Prefecture’s Spring Hills City from March 26th to March 28th. The team is preparing for the competition.
