The Pirmasens Praetorians have a new head coach. Jens Mollnau, who most recently worked for the Hildesheim Invadors, replaces Patrick Niedenzu on the FKP American football team.

With Niedenzu, the Praetorians were promoted to the regional league as league champions in 2023, where they only managed one win in 2024. “Patrick stopped on his own. After three years as head coach, he wanted to have more time for his family,” said Praetorians boss Mario Kapila.

From the Harz to the Palatinate

Mollnau has been a football coach for almost 20 years. According to Kapila, the 53-year-old from Goslar in the Harz Mountains will live in Pirmasens from January and will work in his main job from here via his home office. Mollnau will be introduced to the team on Thursday. His assistant will be Heiko Wilhelm.

According to Kapila, the new quarterback and offensive coordinator is the American Lamar Hall from the Saarland Hurricanes.
