The Mayor’s Office of MedellĂn, in alliance with 11 public transportation companies, launched a regulated collection of taxis in Provenza, El Poblado. This initiative, located on Calle 8 between Carreras 34 and 35, has capacity for eight vehicles and seeks to offer safe transportation in one of the busiest areas of the city.
“The collection has dispatchers and a detailed record of drivers and passengers, which guarantees the safety and comfort of users,” said Mateo González BenĂtez, Secretary of Mobility. In addition, he highlighted that this measure favors the reduction of the use of private vehicles, promoting road safety.
The operation is supervised by Asemptaxis, in charge of preventing irregular charges and guaranteeing quality service. This strategic point facilitates access to public transportation, benefiting those who frequent the pink zone and the commercial area of Provenza.
