Burkina Faso is taking a new turn in its fight against the terrorist hydra. While building on the achievements of the last two years, the new Prime Minister, Rimtalba Jean Emmanuel Ouédraogo, is entrusted with the mission of meeting the many challenges that the country still faces. For the head of government, it is a question of reconciling the conquest of territory and development needs.

Declined in a declaration by the new head of the Executive, on Wednesday December 18, 2024, at the end of the first Council of Ministers, the main lines of government action are summarized in three essential points requiring commitment, dedication and priesthood. Indeed, the President of Faso, Captain Ibrahim Traoré, tasked the new team with accelerating the implementation of the various policies and actions in progress. He also instructed ministers to provide appropriate and diligent responses to corruption and bad practices in the administration. The Head of State also asked them to rationalize activities, in order to achieve efficient and effective use of public resources.

The various changes made in the government therefore aim to consolidate the bases of a new vision in terms of development and to consolidate the conquest of the territory, with the appointment of a new commander-in-chief of the national armed forces. After being elevated to the rank of Brigadier General, Colonel Moussa Diallo, previously Deputy Chief of General Staff of the Armed Forces and Commander of the Special and Rapid Intervention Brigade, takes the reins of the Grande Muette as Chief General Staff of the Armed Forces (CEMGA). He replaces Brigadier General Célestin Simporé in this position, who was promoted to Minister of Defense and Veterans Affairs in the government.

These various missions are timely to breathe new life into a country which continues to record convincing results at all levels. Through a redevelopment, the first government of Rimtalba Jean Emmanuel Ouédraogo will rely on significant orientations to give more hope to a people who only aspire to live in a climate of peace conducive to any initiative for social progress. -economic.
Hope is great, because the fighting forces are flying from victory to victory, the population is showing itself to be more resilient while massively supporting the peace effort and the government is multiplying the pledges of a firm desire to clean up governance.
The Head of State warned: the fight against terrorists will be relentless; the fight against corruption, the misappropriation of public funds, and money laundering will be merciless. Suffice to say that the government action which is beginning is akin to a real battle in the war for the total reconquest of the national territory.
The march of a “standing Burkina Faso” takes on a new pace for greater efficiency and results.
