WASHINGTON DC – The Capital One Arena in Washington DC witnessed an explosion of color and culture last night, as the Peruvian dance ‘Valicha’ added a fiery touch to the NBA showdown between the Washington Wizards and Miami Heat.

In an effort to promote tourism and strengthen Peru’s image in the U.S. capital, the Embassy of Peru in the United States collaborated with the School of Art and Music USA to present this vibrant cultural showcase during halftime.

An Evening of Cultural Exchange

The Peruvian flag and colorful costumes seized the NBA arena, as the name “Peru” echoed through the colosseum, with its-capacity crowd of 20,356 people waving and cheering.
