MyTEAM introduces new modes and live events in NBA 2K25 among which:
- Parc Triple Menace : NBA 2K25 brings one of the biggest updates in MyTEAM history: Triple Threat Park on PlayStation®5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. Triple Threat Park is a faithful remaster of the NBA 2K16 Rivet City MyPARK championship. Accessible from the MyTEAM menus or from the City, it serves as the new home for Triple Threat Online and Triple Threat Online: Co-Op multiplayer matches, where players can meet new players face-to-face to befriend or compete. Like the original Rivet City rooftops, there are a total of nine courts – four dedicated to 2-player 3v3 matches and five for 6-player 3v3 co-op matches. For the first time in NBA 2K25players can enter the Parc court with NBA players while their MyPLAYER watches from the sidelines.
- Breakout : Breakout is a new mode where you can experience the reimagined single-player game in MyTEAM NBA 2K25. As players attempt to break out of the board and earn their reward, they will compete in quick 3-on-3 Triple Threat matches, 5-on-5 Clutch, or a quick 13-card full-squad game, depending on their personal preference. As they explore each board, players will face off against a wide range of opponents, including current NBA teams, historic teams in Era-themed games, all-time teams, and other themed teams comprised of new collections released throughout the year. Once players reach the outer rim, they will face off against a final team of guards. These guards are the final obstacle between you and your selected reward.
- Duel : Duel is a new face-to-face multiplayer matchmaking modality in NBA 2K25 which is inspired by the competitive modes of previous years of MyTEAM and is the evolution of Unlimited. Duel is reserved for the best players and offers the best rewards. Games are played with a full 13-card roster during 4-minute quarters. The core of this mode is a 15-tier progression system, where the main objective is to win and be promoted. Win streaks allow you to progress further up the ladder. Players who achieve a few wins in the previous week will be able to choose a group of rewards based on their tier every Friday at 17:00 (Paris time). Once players have achieved a certain number of wins in the Showdown each week, they will qualify for our new competitive mode, King of the Floor.
- The King of the Field: King of the Field is where the best come to compete each week. This exclusive event takes place every Saturday from 7:00 PM to 11:00 PM, starting September 14. To qualify, players must reach certain qualification thresholds in the new Duel modes or Triple Threat Park during the previous week, or earn an automatic qualification by leveling up in MyTEAM REP. After each King of the Field game, players will earn a game score based on their performance. If players lose 3 games, their participation in the Saturday tournament will be terminated. The final score from each Saturday will be compared to all competitors to crown the King of the Field number one.
Other updates include:
- The return of the auction room : The community has spoken out and NBA 2K25 will see the return of the Auction House in MyTEAM. Players can auction or acquire cards using MyTEAM Points (MTP) to upgrade their collection. The Auction House menu has been consolidated into a one-stop shop for searching, buying, and selling to make it easier to use. Players will now be able to search for a selected card directly from the My Auctions menu, making it easy to check MTP prices before listing their card for sale.
- RANDP MyTEAM : NBA 2K25 introduces a REP system to MyTEAM. The REP system is a year-round achievement that does not reset at the end of each season. New rewards include free seasonal, monthly, and weekly packs, fan-favorite rewards like the Fireball, access to the Auction House, and grand prizes like the Jayson Tatum GOAT player card for players who reach the Dark Matter tier. On the REP leaderboard, the top ten REP players are adorned with Invincible logos, while the number 1 overall player receives the GOAT logo.
- Startup : NBA 2K25 features an all-new tutorial designed to teach players the fundamentals of MyTEAM as well as the fundamentals of NBA 2K gameplay and basketball. Players can start with the Learn 2K tutorial for next-gen consoles, then return to MyTEAM for an introduction to the various modes and features of MyTEAM, as well as special challenges that welcome players to MyTEAM. The Training Center, located in the MyTEAM HOME tab, is where players can replay tutorials, watch tips and tricks videos, engage in a freestyle shootaround, or, for the first time in MyTEAM, practice games or train with their MyTEAM team.
NBA 2K25 will also add updates including simplified menus and interface, new Badges, Takeover Cards, updated Coach Cards, limited-use Free Agent Player Cards that extend beyond 5 games, a revamped Exchange, and much more.
