HERMOSILLO, Sonora (NORTH STAND).- The first Monday in September marks the start of Naranjeros de Hermosillo’s activities ahead of the 2024-2025 LMP season, with the start of preseason training for the current champions of the circuit and their subsequent participation in the “Mexican Baseball Fiesta” in the United States.

Through a press release from the Orange Squad, the start of its preseason was announced starting this Monday, September 2, with a list of 75 players invited to training at the “Fernando Valenzuela” stadium.

The roster is made up of nine catchers, twelve infielders, eight outfielders and 46 pitchers, who will work under the orders of manager Juan Gabriel Castro, with whom they will train for two weeks, and then travel to Tucson, United States, to continue the preseason.

As part of its preparation to face the 2024-2025 season of the Mexican Pacific League (LMP), in which Naranjeros will seek its second championship, the Hermosillo team will participate in the “Mexican Baseball Fiesta 2024” in Arizona.

The event was presented last Wednesday at American Family Field in Phoenix, the facility where the Milwaukee Brewers train and which will host the four-game series with LMP teams, along with Camelback Ranch Stadium in Glendale, which is the spring training home of the Chicago White Sox and Los Angeles Dodgers.

The “Mexican Baseball Fiesta 2024” will feature the participation of the Naranjeros de Hermosillo, Águilas de Mexicali, Mayos de Navojoa and Yaquis de Ciudad Obregón, and will take place from Thursday, September 26 to Sunday, September 29, and tickets will go on sale on September 4 on the event’s official website.
