The government mission led by the Minister of State, Minister of Defense and Veterans Affairs met on Monday, September 16, 2024, in Boulsa with the province’s key forces.
The forces of the Namentenga province came out in large numbers to exchange with the government delegation composed of the Minister of State, Minister of Defense and Veterans, the Minister of Energy, Mines and Quarries, the Minister of Housing and Urban Planning, the Minister of Infrastructure and the Minister of Health. On Monday, September 16, 2024, the participants, according to their component, expressed their concerns and their commitments to support the President of Faso in his dynamic of reconquest and restoration of territorial integrity.
Securing the province’s road network, the Bonam bridge, the spillway of the Zéguédéguin dam… were, among others, the points of exchange with the government delegation. The inhabitants of Boulsa also did not ignore the issue of the enclosure and equipment of the Medical Center with surgical antenna (CMA), social assistance to the poor, training and support for young people and women, the consumption of adulterated drinks and pesticides.
The High Commissioner of Namentenga, Adama Conseiga, indicated that existing training centers such as that of the Wendkouni association, the Nasongdo association, the Bonam rural promotion center are an asset for young people and women. The Minister in charge of defense, Brigadier General Kassoum Coulibaly, congratulated the populations for their resilience and for their various contributions to the peace effort. He asked them to remain vigilant in the face of false information spread by the enemies of our people.
He dwelt heavily on fake news and destabilizing information. According to him, the ideal of the President of Faso is to quickly put an end to terrorists. Regarding financing needs, he invited everyone to form an associative or cooperative structure and to denounce all the serious shortcomings that everyone would notice regarding adulterated drinks, unapproved pesticides, suspicious behavior, among others.
Upon their arrival in Boulsa, the delegation paid a courtesy visit to Naaba Sonré of Boulsa to ask for his blessings and his support. Also, before meeting the active forces, the ministerial delegation met with the fighting forces and then with the administrative authorities.
