Mohammad Nabi is the starting charioteer of Afghanistan cricket. He has seen Afghanistan’s rise in cricket right in front of his eyes, he himself has witnessed victory and defeat. Now it’s time to say goodbye. This all-rounder has announced his retirement from ODIs.

The Champions Trophy is going to be held in February-March next year. Afghanistan will also play in this tournament. The 40-year-old prophet will say goodbye to ODIs by playing in this global event. He announced his withdrawal from ODIs in a video message on social media.

Nabi made his ODI debut in 2009 against Scotland. So far, Nabi has played 165 ODIs in the country’s jersey in 15 years. He scored 3549 runs and took 171 wickets. He is ranked second in the list of Afghanistan’s top run and wicket takers in this edition.

Earlier in 2019, Nabi bid farewell to the white outfit by winning the Chittagong Test against Bangladesh. Now it’s time to put up colorful clothes. He will play T20 for Afghanistan even if he retires from ODI. Let’s see how far you can go.
