Former Zenit midfielder Roman Shirokov told Match TV that he enjoys footballers’ stories about their monthly expenses.
Zenit goalkeeper Evgeny Latyshonok previously told Soviet Sport that he could stay in St. Petersburg for 30 thousand rubles a month, excluding apartment rent.
— Lettyshonok said that 30 thousand rubles a month is enough for him to live comfortably in St. You also live in St. Petersburg. Do you agree?
— I rarely read the news I find on different portals, when football players talk about money and prices, and it’s funny to me, really. They don’t talk nonsense. One, allegedly, according to his version, a national football player said that 600 thousand rubles was enough for him. I would like to add: he means the sun, maybe? All their statements can be safely folded into four. Any football player talking there. And then for some it’s a day. Why lie? It’s better if they don’t say anything.
Footballers certainly don’t buy everything cheap or bad. They eat more or less high quality food. And they don’t go to the basement store near the house. And what kind of houses do they live in? There, a communal apartment can cost 40-50 thousand a month. It’s better to keep quiet, don’t deceive people,” Shirokov told Match TV.
