Mtsamboro’s Post-Chido Olympiads: A Day of Sports, Fun, and Culture for Youth
Meta Description: Join us as we explore Mtsamboro’s post-chido Olympiads, a free, action-packed event filled with sports, games, and cultural experiences.
Making Memories on the Beach and Beyond
This past Saturday, the coastal town of Mtsamboro transformed into a playground, hosting an array of sports and cultural activities for young enthusiasts. The event, running from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., was the brainchild of the townsfolk and the Departmental Council, aiming to keep the youth engaged and entertained as the school holidays drew to a close.
A Day choked-full of Activities
From Beach Foot and Beach Hand to Judo and Volley, the Olympiad had it all. “It’s important to organize these types of events to supervise young people and ensure they finish their holidays on a high note,” said Zouhourya Mouayad Ben, the 4th vice-president of the Departmental Council, in charge of sports, culture, and youth.
The day was filled with a variety of activities that kept everyone on their toes. While some competed in beach sports, others tried their hand at improvised tatami mats and bicycle races. Even local officials joined in the fun, with Mouayad Ben admitting, “The young people enjoyed teasing us, but they were glad we were participating.”
Adding Culture to the Mix
Beach sports weren’t the only attraction—culture also took center stage with the “BUS BIBLIO,” a mobile library that provided literary delights amidst the action. “It’s not just sports—there’s handball, basketball, athletics, rugby, and even culture with the library. Everyone’s here,” said Mouayad Ben.
More Than Just an Event
Before the morning’s end, Mouayad Ben invited everyone to partake in the fitness session scheduled at 3 p.m. in Mtsamboro square, ensuring the fun continued well into the afternoon.
I invite the young people to enjoy the stands made available to them. And I also invite all the moms to join us for the fitness which will take place at 3 p.m. in Mtsamboro square.
