Television coverage of the 19th round of the season: testing, qualifying, the Sprint Race and the races live on Sky Sport MotoGP and streaming on NOW

October 31st – 1.22pm – MILANO

The weather could be the arbiter of the sporting confrontation between Jorge Martin (Prima Pramac Racing team, 453 points in the general classification) and Pecco Bagnaia (Ducati Lenovo Team, 436), expected protagonists on the Sepang circuit for the Petronas Malaysian Grand Prix, nineteenth round of the MotoGP season. Certainly the challenge between the two contenders has reached its hottest phase, with the direct pursuers having to settle for a podium placement and with the prospect of a Valencian Community Grand Prix, scheduled in two weeks, which must make the take into account the damage caused (mainly to the infrastructure connecting to the route) by the flood and bad weather that hit various areas of Spain in the last few hours. In short, the reigning world champion must try to replicate the success achieved in 2022, even if the first match point is in the hands of a Spanish rider capable of winning on this track only in 2018 in Moto3. In the last non-European weekend of the season it will also be interesting to observe the performances of Marc Marquez (Gresini Racing team, 356 points) and Enea Bastianini (Ducati Lenovo Team, 345), given that both could represent the tip of the balance in the fight for world title. At Ducati, therefore, there will also be a celebration for the Riders’ World Championship, after having already won the one reserved for teams and manufacturers. In the general classification Ktm follows with Brad Binder and future factory team rider Pedro Acosta (Red Bull Gasgas Tech3), while at Aprilia it is up to Maverick Viñales to get as close as possible to the top five among the riders, before taking his leave from Noale. Also on track is Andrea Iannone, replacing Fabio di Giannantonio, already projected towards next season (and awaiting a delicate surgery on his left shoulder). Five years after the last time, the rider from Vasto will therefore return to the saddle of a MotoGP, in this case the Ducati designed by Pertamina Enduro VR46 Racing Team. Moto2 and Moto3 are also on track, for a double catwalk for the winners (already proclaimed) Ai Ogura (Mt Helmets – MSI) and David Alonso (Cfmoto Gaviota Aspar team).
