Matchday Traffic Alert: Modena-Cesena Showdown Brings Traffic Changes

MODENa, Italy – Get ready for some changes in traffic flow and parking leading up to the highly anticipated Modena-Cesena football match on Tuesday, May 13. The “Alberto Braglia” stadium will be the epicenter of sports entertainment, but fans and residents alike should brace for temporary adjustments to the city’s road network.

Key Changes to Road Network

  • From Monday, May 12 afternoon, a portion of Piazza Tian An Men will be closed to accommodate bulky vehicles for media broadcasters and VAR equipment.
  • From Tuesday, May 13, parking will be prohibited in Piazza Tian An Men, Viale Monte Kosica, Viale Montecuccoli, Via Fontanelli, and the train station area. Closures will extend to include these areas from approximately 15:30 onwards.

For those traveling from north to south in Modena, the overpass of via Ciro Menotti is recommended. If you’re headed to central areas, consider the ring road for more peripheral destinations.

“In line with our commitment to promoting sustainable transport, we’ve reactivated the bike deposit for this match. Located under the tribune facing Novi Sad Park, it can securely store over a hundred bikes.”

This service will be available from an hour before kickoff (scheduled for 20:30) until half an hour after the final whistle.

Pro Tip

To beat the traffic, consider planning your journey earlier in the day and using the bike deposit or public transport.
