CONADE’s Transformative Journey in 2025
Mexico City – The National Commission of Physical Culture and Sports (CONADE), led by Rommel Pacheco Marrufo, has been on a mission to transform lives through sports. Under the banner “sport transforms lives,” CONADE’s School and Municipal Sports Centers (CEDEM) have been indispensable allies in fostering physical activity and sports across Mexico.

Sports Clinics: Sparking Passion
CONADE ignited sports enthusiasm among Mexicans by hosting clinics in nine popular sports: soccer, ultimate frisbee, calisthenics, tochito, athletics, baseball, baseball 5, handball, basketball, and rugby. This initiative reached over 2,300 individuals.
Tournaments: Uniting Communities
Following the clinics, basketball and soccer tournaments were held in Chimalhuacán, Amecameca, and Valle de Chalco, gathering 340 participants. These events aimed to unite communities and deter risky behaviors.
Training and Empowerment: Coaches and Promoters
CONADE empowered coaches and promoters by providing in-person and virtual classes in boxing, badminton, basketball, volleyball, and American football. Workshops were held in six states, benefiting 1,143 participants.
Bridging Gaps: Partnerships and Collaborations
CEDEM, led by Karla Camacho Garciglia, reinforced its initiatives through collaborations with educational institutions, government bodies, and sports organizations. Notable partnerships included the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM) and the Secretariat of Public Security.
Massive Events and Initiatives
