In the Golden Mile, a strategic sector of the 14-El Poblado commune, the construction of a new hotel began with a foreign investment of 45 million dollars. This project, the result of seven years of management between district and departmental entities, seeks to expand the accommodation capacity of Medellín, a city that has seen a constant increase in the flow of local and international tourists.

The building will have 24 floors, 88 meters high and 28,406 square meters long, and is expected to generate 700 direct and indirect jobs during its construction and operation. The work will last two and a half years, and will be a new milestone for the city’s tourism sector.

Cristina Zambrano, executive director of the Medellín International Cooperation Agency (ACI), highlighted the importance of this investment: “all the articulated work of the private and public sectors today bears fruit for the tourism sector.” For his part, José Miguel Coo, manager of Hotelera Medellín SAS, highlighted the privileged location of the project, ensuring a successful development both in its construction and in its future operation.

This new hotel adds to the growing tourist development of Medellín.
