Medellín prepares for a race with environmental impact

Organized by the GreenSouls Global collective, the race is committed to collecting one kilogram of waste for every kilometer traveled by participants, with the expectation of collecting more than 5 tons of garbage that will be delivered to organizations for proper use.

The event, which will feature the participation of influencers such as Ana Sofía Henao and Mario Espitiaseeks to raise awareness about the importance of environmental care on the eve of COP 16, which will be held in Cali. In addition to the race, wellness activities will be offered for participants, who will receive ecological kits that reinforce the sustainable philosophy of GreenSouls Global.

The race routes include three distances: 5K, 10K and 15K, with departures from Perpetuo Socorro Park. The initiative has the support of the Mayor’s Office of Medellín and Inder, who highlight the power of sport to promote social and environmental causes.
