National Men’s Basketball Team Fights On Despite Losses in 2025 FIBA BCL

The National Men’s Basketball Team hasn’t had the easiest start in the 2025 FIBA Basketball Champions League (BCL) East Asia, but their spirit remains undeterred. Despite losing their first two matches in Group A, the team is determined to turn their fortunes around in the upcoming games.
The Path to Victory
The tournament’s opening games were intense, with the National Men’s Basketball Team facing formidable opponents. On Thursday, they played a thrilling overtime match against Taoyuan, the runner-up of the Taiwan P League. In their second game, they faced Bishrelt Metal, the runner-up of the Mongolian League, ending in an 86-98 loss.

The team’s coach, Felton Cially, emphasized the players’ spirit and readiness to overcome the adversities in BCL, “Winning is a process. We realized it will be a tough battle. I told you, this (BCL) is a rough tournament, and we are the medallion in every game. We did not choose to be the leader here.
We are learning to appreciate the experience and exploring who we are on our own merit, and it takes every sitting down, every qualifying… to know who we are. We are improving in these games, and I believe we are taking the right steps.
