Maison AIM: New Bordeaux Facility Aims to Get Families Active

Maison AIM, a new sports facility in Bordeaux, offers a variety of fitness options for all ages.

A New Approach to Family Fitness

Bordeaux, France, is now home to Maison AIM, a novel sports facility designed to encourage families to embrace an active lifestyle. The facility, founded by Jean-Baptiste Bourin and Camille Gérondeau, offers a diverse range of activities, including CrossFit, Hyrox, cross training, Pilates, and yoga.

From Garage to Fitness Hub

The space itself has undergone a significant transformation. Originally a garage, then a bar, and later a club, the building has been renovated over the past year into a two-level fitness center. We wanted to build a place that resembles us, with a plurality of activities, explains Jean-Baptiste Bourin, a rugby player, and coach.

Dedicated Spaces for All Ages

Maison AIM caters specifically to families with dedicated spaces like a “kid’s klub,” a “mom’s klub,” and a “family klub,” allowing parents and children to participate in sports together. A children’s corner is conveniently located near the reception area.

Expert Coaching and Community Focus

The facility boasts four coaches, including Camille Gérondeau, a professional rugby player who was a French champion in 2017 with Clermont-Ferrand. Gérondeau emphasizes the importance of welcoming young families.

We want to get families back into sport. Parents can come with their children, present them the sport they practice to develop them want to imitate them, and even do sessions together, Camille Gérondeau

. He further notes the value of sport in promoting health, emotional well-being, and strong values.

In addition to individual and family training, Maison AIM also offers a “running club” with two weekly meetings – Mondays and Thursdays – before work.
