Macklin Celebrini Among Six New Faces on Canada’s Olympic Roster
In a major leap forward in his young career, Macklin Celebrini, a 19-year-old forward for the San Jose Sharks, has earned a spot on Team Canada for the Olympic Winter Games Milano Cortina 2026.
The Road to Milan-Cortina
Celebrini, alongside five other NHL stars, has been named to the Canadian Olympic roster. This marks the first time NHL players will represent Canada at the Olympics since 2014.

Team Canada’s Olympic Journey
Team Canada, part of Group A, will open against Team Czechia on Feb. 12, followed by contests against Team Switzerland on Feb. 13 and Team France on Feb. 15. The tournament features 12 teams playing three preliminary games each.
The top three group winners and the best second-place team will receive a bye into the quarterfinals. The remaining eight teams will play single-elimination games for the final four quarterfinal spots. The gold medal game is set for Feb. 22.

The 2026 Olympic tournament will be the first to feature a 3-on-3 overtime period in the event of a tie after Regulation Time.
