Judo: District conference for Upper Bavaria recently took place in Easter Munich

The Upper Bavaria district meeting in the Bavarian Judo Association took place in Easter Munich at the beginning of January. The district chairman Denis Weisser welcomed the representatives of the Bavarian Judo Association, Vice President Wolfgang Fanderl and popular sports representative Heike Betz, whom he thanked for coming and the excellent cooperation.

In addition to reports and discussions on the agenda, the program also included the farewell of long-standing district officials.

Manuela Kohlhofer, the previous deputy referee, resigned from her position in order to be able to run as deputy judge for the BJV at the upcoming BJV association conference. Judo veteran Hans Trommler, who held many positions in his long career, was given a well-earned judo retirement, as was kata adjudicator Helmut Angerer. Teaching assistant Stefan Meier also said goodbye; he was a teaching supervisor in Upper Bavaria for around 20 years. Newly elected successors were Manuel Sencar for refereeing and David Kuttalek for teaching.

Judo chairman Denis Weisser: “I would like to thank all four for their outstanding commitment to the district. Over the years and decades, they have shaped the sport of judo in Upper Bavaria, in Bavaria and beyond and left behind great things. I am also pleased that with David Kuttalek as the new teaching officer and Manuel Sencar as deputy district referee, we have two young colleagues on the committee who will bring new impetus. Of course, I would also like to thank the BJV representatives Wolfgang Fanderl and Heike Betz for their appearance, the constructive exchange with the clubs and wish you a successful judo year in 2025 – it was a great district day.
